Description:
This is an introductory course to ethical marketing practices in the U.S. and global economy. There is a brief introduction to business ethics, ethics within the marketing mix, ethics and the promotional mix and special topics in marketing ethics. It will include case studies to help build experience with real world domestic and global situations and increase critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: • Identify ethical issues in marketing • Utilize ethical thinking and behavior to achieve positive, rational and moral outcomes in business decisions • Develop problem solving skills through case study evaluation • Be familiar with aspects of an ethical marketing strategy • Have a general understanding of business ethics
