Description:
Laboratory investigation of rocks and minerals; use of geologic and topographic maps; understanding of stream and groundwater processes and landforms.
- There is a $250 lab materials fee for this course, which includes the cost of shipping and handling. The fee is automatically refunded if the student drops prior to the first day of class.
- After the first day of class, students are charged the full $250 for materials.
- Before the last day of class, lab materials must be returned in good condition to receive a $145 refund. The condition of the returned rocks are determined and approved by the department. $105 will not be refundable as it supports shipping and handling costs.
- In addition to the $145 refund, students also have the opportunity to earn extra credit for returning lab materials in good condition within a week after the midterm exam deadline.
- This class includes an open/alternative textbook resource. Students pay a $10 fee. The fee helps to support the creation and use of an instructor-created textbook or resources for a class.
