Geographic Information Systems I
GEOG 508 - Class Number: 16212



Description:
Examination of the major theories, concepts, and operations in geographic information systems (GIS). Topics include: the structure of geographic data models, geographic data acquisition, spatial database management, data processing methods. Vector and raster GIS operations, and general approaches to GIS-based spatial modeling.
- Students must have access to a Windows computer that meets the following requirements https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/get-started/arcgis-pro-system-requirements.htm. MAC, tablets and Chromebook cannot operate the required program used for exercises.
