Global Health and Nutrition

FNDH 700 - Class Number: 14322


This course will focus on emerging Global health issues including infectious diseases and the global threats posed by HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. It features the new sustainable development goals and the nutritional problems faced by low and middle-income countries. It will provide an understanding of global food security and the impact of the Epidemiologic transition on global health enabling students to become acquainted with the health issues in developed and developing countries. It will help students analyse current and emerging global health priorities, newer nutritional problems and major global initiatives for disease prevention and health promotion. Designed for advanced undergraduate and graduate students in a health-related field including biological or social sciences.
