Introduction to Research in Dietetics Practice
FNDH 570 - Class Number: 14202

Description:
Students in this course will examine the role and importance of the scientific method in health professions, with a focus on nutrition and dietetics. The course will outline the research methods used to acquire knowledge in health-related professions. The rationale and role of evidence-based practice and research will be explored, and students will be introduced to research language and core concepts. Skills will be developed for asking clinical or professional questions and how to translate these questions into search strategies for finding evidence.
- Advisor permission required. Enrollment restricted to students in the online Nutrition & Health and Dietetics programs. On-campus students should contact their advisor for seat availability beginning on July 1, 2023.
