Empirical and Quantitative Reasoning Natural and Physical Sciences

Description:

This course provides students with an intermediate understanding of the chemical and physiological basis of nutrition. This includes macronutrient and micronutrient functions, digestion, absorption, and metabolism as well as dietary requirements and the role of nutrition in health and disease. Further, students will apply critical thinking, literature collection, and writing skills in topic papers.
