Consultation for Counselors
EDCEP 871 - Class Number: 17167
Description:
Consultation for Counselors provides an overview of consultation and collaboration theory and process with a foundation for facilitation change. Students will apply theory to practice in consultation activities designed to enhance skills with educators, parents, teachers, community professionals and other key stakeholders. Specific attention is given to consultation addressing student mental health, academic interventions social emotional learning, and career development. The course also provides a framework for consulting with community counseling agencies, prevention and outreach programs, community cultural environments, and social justice programs.
