Student Development Theory

Description:
The purpose of this course is to provide an in-depth knowledge of various types of theories of student development. Emphasis will be placed on critiquing these theories and appropriately applying them to practice in student affairs administration. Study of the American college student and how he/she is influenced by institutional policies, practices, and other environmental variables. Special attention will be given to contemporary student development theory and research.
