Fundamentals of Mechanical Properties
CHE 355 - Class Number: 13650
Description:
Overview of the mechanical properties of materials, especially metals, and the modification of these properties through changes in microstructure. Effect of heat treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties.
- This course is required for chemical engineering and mechanical engineering students and is a recommended elective in several other engineering disciplines. Students in community colleges or other schools can take this course online, as well as CHE 354 and 356, as part of their pre-engineering course work which will facilitate integrating those students more easily into a B.S. in engineering program.
