Basic Concepts in Materials Science and Engineering
CHE 354 - Class Number: 13649
Description:
Structure of materials with crystal structures of metals and their defects emphasized. Two component phase diagrams, multiphase equilibrium, and the microstructures that result.
- This course is required for chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineering students and is a recommended elective in several other engineering disciplines. Students in community colleges or other schools can take this course online, as well as CHE 355 and CHE 356, as part of their pre-engineering course work which will facilitate integrating those students more easily into a B.S. in engineering program.
