Building Loads and Computer Aided Structural Analysis and Design
ARE 722 - Class Number: 15670
Description:
Fundamentals of building structural systems and design with the emphasis on building loads and load paths. Review of International Building Code’s structural loading requirements, applications, and determination of design loads by ASCE 7 - Minimum Design Loads and Associated Criteria for Buildings and Other Structures. Introduction of building design and analysis software basics. Students will learn how to generate building structural models, and conduct analysis, design, and simulation using software applications.
