Global Issues and Perspectives Historical Perspectives

Description:

This course provides a comparative analysis of the business and economic situation of the food and agriculture sector around the world. The course will cover the European Union, the Former Soviet Union, MERCOSUR, East Asia, South Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Oceania region. The course will focus briefly on the historical development, the current situation, and the future outlook of the food and agriculture sector. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to evaluate the comparative advantage of the United States in the production of food and fiber.
